How do I sign up for the Slingshot Challenge?

To participate in the Slingshot Challenge you need to sign up. Signing up includes entering your contact information, confirming your email, and if you’re under 18, getting consent from your legal parent/guardian to participate.

On the home page of the Slingshot Challenge, click ‘Sign up’ and enter your information, or go to slingshot.videosforchange.org/signup to get started. 

You will receive a confirmation email. If it’s not in your inbox, please check your junk/spam folders. In the email, click the ‘COMPLETE SIGN UP’ button to verify your email.

Complete your information on the Slingshot Challenge website, including your date of birth (after this has been entered, it cannot be changed, so make sure it is correct before saving). If you’re under the age of 18, you will need to enter the email address of a legal parent/guardian for your video entry to be accepted to the challenge.

Your legal parent/guardian will then receive an email confirmation informing them that you have registered for the challenge. If they agree to you joining, they simply have to press the ‘I AGREE’ button in their email.

If your legal parent/guardian cannot find the email, have them check their junk/spam folders. You can also login to your account and resend the email to them from your account details menu.

You won’t be able to submit an entry until you receive legal parent/guardian consent. You can check the status of their consent in your draft under ‘Entry Overview’.
